The Excel Center® Evansville Southeast
The Goodwill Connection
The mission and vision of Evansville Goodwill focuses on helping individuals thrive so the community can thrive. The Excel
Center® Evansville Southeast is a piece of that mission which is the first adult high school in Southwest Indiana of its kind.
Through our no-cost supportive services including on-site child care, transportation assistance, Life Coaches, and
college credit and certifications courses, The Excel Center® is able to help remove barriers and empower individuals to achieve
their goals.
Our Mission
The mission of Evansville Goodwill Industries, Inc, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is to help people, families, and communities thrive through the power of relationships, education, and work.
Why Evansville?
The Evansville region is filled with organizations, schools, and businesses committed to helping individuals and the community grow and thrive. However, our community is still faced with higher poverty rates in comparison to both state and national averages. Among those impacted by poverty the most, are the nearly 13,000 Vanderburgh County adults without a high school diploma with an unemployment rate of 11% and median income of $22,291. We believe The Excel Center® is the missing piece to creating a sustainable solution to poverty in our area and in collaboration with the many other services available, we can create a community that offers everyone the opportunity to thrive.
